Triple Trail Challenge, 3 Event Stage Race

Welcome to the 5th annual Triple Trail Challenge co hosted by Mountain Trails and Park City Marathon. This challenge is a 3 event stage race over a 5 week period for the personal accomplishment of the hard-core trail warrior.

Date & Race:
August 7 : Jupiter Peak Steeplechase
: 16 miles from Park City Mountain Resort (7,000′) to the top of Jupiter Peak (10,000′) and back down. For more information please view the Jupiter Peak Steeplechase post. YOU MUST REGISTER FOR THE TTC BEFORE YOU TAKE OFF!
August 21 : Park City Half Marathon: (a full marathon, if you can’t help yourself). This out-and back course takes runners from the Newpark area to the turn around near McPolin barn. For more information please visit Park City Marathon.
September 11: Mid Mountain Marathon, a full marathon distance on the Mid Mountain Trail, following the 8,000′ contour. For more information please view the Mid Mountain Marathon post.

Registration:
Register for all 3 races at Runner Card for $160 (half PCM) or $190 (full PCM). Online registration closes August 6 at 5:00 PM MDT. Day of registration fees increase to $175 and $205, get a deal register today! Registration will begin at 7:00 AM at the Jupiter Peak Steeplechase and close at 7:45 AM. Entries are non-refundable. YOU MUST REGISTER FOR THE TTC BEFORE THE JUPITER PEAK STEEPLECHASE START.

All prior participants will have their jacket embroider with the 2010 logo, all first time participants will receive the signature  fleece jacket embroidered with your accomplishment.

Insurance:
The organizers and sponsors cannot be responsible for accidents during or in connection with the competition nor physical condition of participants. Therefore, each participant enters at his or her own risk and all participants are responsible for the provision of their own insurance coverage. Each entrant must sign the “Acknowledgment and Assumption of Risk and Release” Waiver on the official entry form before permitted to participate.

The higher elevation trails are almost there with the exception of an occasional hike-a-bike over some lingering snow patches on upper Shadow Lake & Apex.  The Crest still has a few snow patches as well but with the current weather pattern, I would guess that it will be entirely rideable for the 4th of July [...]

It looks like summer has finally arrived and trail conditions should be excellent for the weekend.  Up at PCMR everything is clear below the Thaynes Road.  Above that it’s kind of hit or miss depending on the aspect.
