Triple Trail Challenge, 3 Event Stage Race

Welcome to the 7th annual Triple Trail Challenge co hosted by Mountain Trails and Park City Marathon. This challenge is a 3 event stage race over a 5 week period for the personal accomplishment of the hard-core trail warrior.
Date & Race:
August 7 : Jupiter Peak Steeplechase: 16 miles from Park City Mountain Resort (7,000′) to the top of Jupiter Peak (10,000′) and back down. For more information please view the Jupiter Peak Steeplechase post. YOU MUST REGISTER FOR THE TTC BEFORE YOU TAKE OFF!
August 21 : Park City Half Marathon: (a full marathon, if you can’t help yourself). This out-and back course takes runners from the Newpark area to the turn around near McPolin barn. For more information please visit Park City Marathon.
September 11: Mid Mountain Marathon, a full marathon distance on the Mid Mountain Trail, following the 8,000′ contour. For more information please view the Mid Mountain Marathon post.
Registration: Information will be updated in February 2010
Register for all 3 races at Runner Card for $? (half PCM) or $? (full PCM). Online registration closes August 6 at 5:00 PM MDT. Day of registration will begin at 7:00 AM at the Jupiter Peak Steeplechase and close at 7:45 AM. Entries are non-refundable. YOU MUST REGISTER FOR THE TTC BEFORE THE JUPITER PEAK STEEPLECHASE START.
All prior participants will have their jacket embroider with the 2010 logo, all first time participants will receive the signature green soft-shelled jacket embroidered with your accomplishment.

The organizers and sponsors cannot be responsible for accidents during or in connection with the competition nor physical condition of participants. Therefore, each participant enters at his or her own risk and all participants are responsible for the provision of their own insurance coverage. Each entrant must sign the “Acknowledgment and Assumption of Risk and Release” Waiver on the official entry form before permitted to participate.

Round Valley: 12K groomed today.
Note: Pedigree Stage Stop Sled dog race from 12-3pm tomorrow. Start/Finish at Quinn’s. Course includes all Round Valley Nordic trails. Come check it out! I will be grooming after the post-race cleanup.

Round Valley: 10K+ groomed today. About a quarter mile of additional track added in the valley proper for this Saturday’s sled-dog race.
Rail Trail: 12 Miles groomed today from Richardson Flat all the way to Wanship plus the Round Valley Connector.

Round Valley: 12K groomed today. 10K of classic track set.

Round Valley: 12K+ groomed today. All trails groomed with the exception of upper Rademan Ridge and upper Valderoad. Will hit those tomorrow and reset the classic track. Another 3-4 inches over the weekend and conditions are excellent!
Rail Trail: Bonanza to Richardson’s Flat and the Round Valley Connector groomed today.

Round Valley: 10K groomed today. Things have firmed up a bit and conditions are excellent!
Rail Trail: 7 miles from Bonanza all the way to I-80 is packed and groomed as well as the Round Valley Connector.

Round Valley: 12K groomed this morning with 10K of classic track set. It’s my first attempt with the tracksetter and its a little tight in places but its a start…..
Rail Trail: I’ll be packing and grooming from 248 to I-80 tomorrow.

Round Valley: All Round Valley trails were groomed this morning with the exception of upper Rademan Ridge. The Silver Summit access trail was groomed as well. Classic track coming soon….

Round Valley: All of the RV trails were groomed at one point today. The snow and wind have been relentless! Conditions are soft and powdery- “packed powder” is what I believe they call it at the resorts.

Round Valley: 10K groomed with the Bully when the snow let up late this morning. The Silver Summit Connector was also groomed. Rademan Ridge/Sleddog were packed along with Upper Valderoad to Ability Way.
