Tuesday Trail Runs, June 1 - August 31 2010

Welcome to Tuesday Trail Runs, this is a series of  trail runs that are  participant lead and non competitive. You can run with friends and a group or pick up the pace for training, all ability levels are welcome. Runs last from 1 to 1 1/2 hours on trails throughout Park City. Meet promptly at 6PM at the scheduled trailhead and don’t forget your water.

July 20 : Cresent Mine Grade (Park City Mountain Resort, lower parking lot)
July 27 : Flying Dog Trail             (Park at Eddie’s House, 9060 Flint Way, Park City, UT 84098)
August 3:   Sun Peak Trails            (Sun Peak Trailhead-Park City Community Church)
August 7 : (Saturday) Jupiter Peak Steeplechase (1st race of the Triple Trail Challenge)
August10 :  Town Loop             (City Park at the gazebo)
August 17 :  Summit Park Trail System   (Summit Park, check out the trailhead directions above. The trailhead is located at the intersection of Parkview and Matterhorn. Trails are great and well worth an exploratory trip.
August 21 : (Saturday) Park City Half & Full Marathon (2nd race of the Triple Trail Challenge)
August 28 : Mid-Mountain            (Silver Lake Lodge)
September 11 : (Saturday) Mid Mountain Marathon (3rd and final race of the Triple Trail Challenge)

Grooming Report For Wednesday, March 10th:

Round Valley:  12K groomed this morning.  A few inches of new snow made for great conditions today.
Rail Trail:  Bonanza to 248 and the Round Valley Connector groomed today.

Grooming Report For Tuesday, March 9th:

Round Valley:  All 13K+ of the Round Valley trails were groomed this morning.  10K of classic track was set as well.  Enjoy!

Weekend Grooming Report for Saturday, March 6th:

Round Valley:  12K of trail groomed this morning along with the Silver Summit & Cove Trailhead connectors.  Note:  The grooming was a little challenging this morning after yesterdays warm temps and an over nite freeze but conditions weren’t bad.

Grooming Report For Friday, March 5th:

Round Valley:  About 10 inches of new snow blanketed the Round Valley trails over nite and into this morning.  The unseasonably warm temps created a very soft & sticky track by mid-morning.  11K packed/groomed this morning.
Rail Trail:  Track-packed from Bonanza to I-80/Pace & the Round Valley Connector.

Round Valley:  10K groomed this morning.  Bring on the snow!

Hump-Day Grooming Report For Wednesday, March 3rd:

Round Valley:  All 13K+ of the Round Valley trails were groomed today.  Things were definitely getting soft by early afternoon.  More snow and hopefully colder temps on the way!!!

Grooming Report for Tuesday, March 2nd:

Round Valley:  11K of trail groomed this morning.  Conditions were great early this morning but very soft & spring-like by 11am.
Rail Trail:  Groomed from Wyatt Earp to Richardson Flat and the Round Valley Connector over to Quinn’s.

Round Valley:  6 inches of new snow on the Valley trails.  12K groomed this morning.  Conditions are bit soft but should firm up over night.
